About the Event

The NEPA Horror Film Festival began in October 2015 with a free event called “13 SHORT FILMS” at River Street Jazz Cafe in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The following December, we moved to Ale Mary’s in downtown Scranton, PA, and hosted an event called “SPOOKY CHRISTMAS." Ale Mary’s hosted a handful more of our events, including October 2016’s “13 SHORT FILMS 2,” which was hosted by the legendary Joe Bob Briggs (SHUDDER, TNT’S Monstervision). Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) and Lisa Gaye (The Toxic Avenger 2 + 3) were also special guests that evening. The following year, the third annual “13 SHORT FILMS” was hosted by Iron Horse Movie Bistro in downtown Scranton. The event sold out the day before and we sadly had to turn away patrons at the door. Finally in 2018, NEPA HORROR FILM FESTIVAL has found it’s permanent home at Circle Drive-In Theatre in Dickson City, PA. Our most successful and fun event was held there in October of 2018. We are so excited for what the future holds!
